Kanmadapara,Kanjirakolly About 4500 feet above sea level, Kanmadappara is the part of Kerala vested forests. As the name indicates, this rocky mountain peak derived its name from an Ayurvedic medicine called “kanmadam”. It is believed that timber traders in the ancient got this rare medicine of very high cost from the rock.  From the hill, we get an amazing view of the vast horizon. The sun rise and sunset from this rocky mountain peak, encircled by evergreen hills, are spectacular. We get a distant view of Kannur, Taliparamba and the Arabian Sea from here.
